Headshots of Persons Looking For Work.

Today I devoted the day to providing free portraits to anyone who is unemployed, and looking for a job. I am so glad I did. You think about the big issues when you think about the recession: unemployment statistics, plant closings, stimulus packages. I think it can be instructive to listen to the stories of people whose lives have been impacted by this fiasco. Thanks to Gloria Maria Rockhold, Christian Dahlhausen, Jason Heuer, Daniel T. Moore, Mary Alice Blackwell, and Larry H. Mabry for sharing their experiences with me. They are all so cool, and I wish them the best of luck.

  • Amazing.

The portraits give the unemployment crisis a face and bring it closer to home. When you first advertised the project, I never imagined I'd be affected emotionally it.

    Thanks, Billy.

    • You know. I did not know I would be emotionally effected as well. You see the damage this recession is doing to our community, like ripples in a pond spreading out. I hope that we can get things turned around soon.
